HTC recently announced its new Explorer Android Smartphone which could be considered as an entry-level device. For starters, it is powered by a 600MHz processor and gets only 512MB of RAM which is pretty low for the standard that smartphone has now reached. It comes in a compact casing and hosts a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with a 320×480 pixel resolution, it comes equipped with a 3-Megapixel camera on the rear of the device but lacks a front-facing camera.
It features a rubberized rear cover with a curved figure, it offers support for Adobe Flash Player which means you can visit some of your favorite websites while on the go. It only comes with 483MB of internal storage but that means it should have a microSD card slot for storage. The new Explorer also runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with the Sense UI for intuitive use and Smart Dialer for making phone calls easily, it will be sold in the colors of Metallic Black, Active Black and Metallic Navy. No pricing information has been announced for the new HTC Explorer but it will be available in Europe and Asia next month.
