HTC has announced a new handset at the CTIA 2009 Wireless 2009 trade show in Las Vegas, but this new handset will make Blackberry have something to talk about.
The new HTC handset is the HTC Snap which is the latest QWERTY smartphone from the mobile manufacturers. The Snap measures 12 millimeters and has specs such as a full-QWERTY keyboard, HSDPA connectivity, a QVGA display, GPS capabilities, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and a 2-megapixel photo snapper.
The handset is powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm CPU, 256MB of internal storage and 128MB of RAM. All of this will be backed by the Windows Mobile 6.1 standard os and should be available all over the world in the second half of 2009. There will be a special edition for the US which is dubbed HTC S522 and will come unlocked.
