HTC U11 Smartphone gets first software update

HTC U11 already getting its first software update, only a couple weeks after official launch.

HTC only took the wrapping off its flagship HTC U11 Smartphone a couple weeks back shortly after it was hinted by Antutu database and it’s already getting the first software update. The Android update delivers version 1.11.617.3. as well as system enhancements but no details on exactly what they are.

This software update is available for the HTC U11 but those that are unlocked. HTC published an official change log on its website but only noted that the update comes with system enhancements.

The change log did reveal that the update is approximately 1.9GB in size and available now for download from its support page.

Since we didn’t cover the HTC U11 device here are some of the most notable features of the device. The HTC U11 comes equipped with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display which is protected by 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 that clocks up to 2.45GHz, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage plus the option to expand via microSD card slot.

There’s a 12MP Ultrapixel 3 camera with a features such as UltraSpeed Autofocus, Face detection, dual LED flash, Panorama, 4K video recording and much more. On the front there is a 16MP selfie camera with Auto and Voice selfie features.

The U11 supports 4G LTE networks, WiFi calling, it has NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 as well as DLNA connectivity.

HTC ships the handset with Android 7.1 with HTC Sense. There’s a 3000mAh battery plus HTC’s Quick Charge 3.0.
