Huawei has announced what they are claiming to be the world’s fastest quad-core smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, Spain. It is the Huqwei Ascend D quad that is powered by the Huawei’s K3V2 quad-core 1.2GHz/1.5GHz processor, which promises to deliver an experience like no other present on the market.
Other than its super fast processor, the Huawei Ascend D quad comes equipped with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display with a 720p HD resolution which is powered by a 32-bit true color graphic processor. The device measures 8.9mm thick and approximately 64mm wide, it offers a 1800mAh battery that promises up to 2 days of operation due to being enhanced by Huaweis Device’s proprietary power management technology, allowing the device to provide up to 30% longer battery life compared to the average mobile device.
On the rear of the device, there’s an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, autofocus and flash, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, Dolby Surround Sound and Audience earSmart technology for voice enhancement and quality audio. Huawei plans to launch the world’s fastest quad-core smartphone worldwide in Q2 2012.
