Hyundai is known for its compact economy cars in the United States, they aren’t the most attractive vehicles in my book but perfect if you are seeking a car on a budget. Well, the refreshed Hyundai Veloster Turbo got both the attractive looks and an affordable price tag.
The new model of the Veloster comes with an attractive design and a new transmission. The Veloster now comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox replacing the 6-speed transmission from previous models. The turbo version of the Veloster gets the same 1.6L turbo engine capable of delivering 201 horsepower and 195lb of torque.
One of the coolest and newsworthy feature is the engine sound equalizer which allows the driver to choose from six different engine soundtracks, meaning you could make it sound like a racing car if you wish. In addition to its outer design, the interior also gets a face lift with new materials.
The new Hyundai Veloster Turbo with 7-Speed dual clutch transmission will start at 23.7 million won which is equivalent to $22,000USD. There’s no official word if the Hyundai Veloster Turbo will ever see the shores of the United States or if it will be exclusive to the Korean market.
