Iiyama Japan has announced its two new VA-based montors from its ProLite Series, they are the Iiyama ProLite XB2472HD-B and X2775HDS-B. Both panels boast a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 8ms response time and a special ECO mode that will reduce power consumption by up to 60-percent. The ProLite XB2472HD-B gets a 24-inch VA display with LED-backlighting while the ProLite X2775HDS-B gets a 27-inch VA display with LED backlighting.
Other specifications of the two monitors includes a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 (5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio) as well as a three-year warranty. VA-based monitors (vertical alignment) are better than the bargain LCD but not as nice as the IPS displays. The ProLite XB2472HD-B comes with a stand that allows the device’s height to be adjusted, pivot, tilt, and swivel and will start at approximately $323 while the ProLite X2775HDS-B comes with two integrated 2W speakers, a 4-port USB hub and a stand that can only be tilted and it will go for the price of $427.
