Intel has just expanded line of Solid State Drives with its new SSD 730 Series. The new 730 Series comes available in both 240GB and 480 capacities, and available in 2.5-inch size.
This new Solid State Drive comes equipped with 20nm MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a MTBF of 1.2 million hours and the ability to deliver read/write speeds of up to 550/270 MB/s from the 240GB model, while the 480GB model delivers read/write speeds of 550/470 MB/s.
The Intel SSD 730 Series is now up for pre-order from major suppliers including Tiger Direct, Amazon and NewEgg. The 730 Series will begin shipment from March 18th for around $270 (240GB), and $500 (480GB).
