Intel unveils its 320 Series Solid State Drives
The Intel Corporation has once again unveiled another Series of Solid States Drives, this is its third-generation 320 Series solid-state drives that are based on 25-nanometer (nm) NAND flash memory and utilizes a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface. The drives are available in both 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch form factors and features 128-bit Advanced Encryption, it has an MTBF of 1.2 million hours, a read speed of up to 270 MB/s and a 220 MB/s writing speed. The drives will be available in the storage options of 40GB, 80GB, 120GB, 160GB and now new units has been added which includes 300GB and 600GB. They are priced at an estimated street price of $89, $159, $209, $289, $529 and $1,069, respectively.
