JinXing Digital, a Chinese-based company just introduced a new portable gaming device that runs Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and goes by the name JinXing Digital JXD S5110. The Android Gaming Device takes a similar design to that of the PlayStation Vita, it comes equipped with a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 3-point multitouch input and a 800×480 resolution.
The portable gaming station is powered by a 1GHz Amlogic M3 ARM Cortex-A9 processor, it has 512MB of memory and a ARM Mali 400 3D graphics processor. The JXD S5110 Android Player comes with the option of either 4GB or 8GB of internal storage plus it is also equipped with a microSDHC card slot to expand the storage capacity if needed.
The JXD S5110 gaming system also features WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, it has a VGA camera on the rear side, there’s a gravity sensor and it also comes with emulators for running Nintendo 64, GameBoy Advance, Sega MegaDrive and other games as well as Android game titles. No pricing information has been unveiled for the Android-powered gaming device nor its availability date.
