They are the same guys who brought us the Everio GZ-HM400 and are back with a launch of a new full HD camcorder in Japan. The new camcorder dubbed the Picsio GC-FM1 and it comes equipped with a 8 megapixel CMOS image sensor and a 2-inch LCD display for playback.
It could be compared to the Kodak Zi8, it is the height of a Cell Phone but has the width of a regular calculator and weighs 95 grams. It has the capability to record 1080p (1440×1080) video at 30fps and 1280×720p video at 60fps in MPEG4 AVC/H.264 format. The Picsio GC-FM1 also snaps 3264×2448 still image, plus there is a YouTube friendly recording mode and easy YouTube upload function, it is also compatible with iTunes.
