Japanese carrier KDDI au has been releasing phones in its Infobar line for quite sometime now, and the carrier just announced its latest addition, dubbed the Infobar Smartphone.
The company started back in 2003 with its stylish cameraphone, then again with the A01 full-fledged smartphone back in 2011. KDDI au is back with its third iteration of the A series, the Infobar A03,and as usual its gets a pretty colorful design.
The new handset was designed by minimalist product designer, Naoto Fukasawa, who has been apart of the Infobar design team since inception. The new Infobar A03 comes equipped a 4.5-inch display with a 1080p resolution, 16GB of internal storage which can expanded via its microSD card slot, capacitive buttons below the screen, an 13MP camera on the rear and available in a wide variety of color options, which is exactly what the Infobar series is known for.
The A03 runs the Android operating system with a specially designed user interface by award-winning artist and experimental web designer Yugo Nakamura. The new user interface is basically a refresh of the “iida” UI which was released with the A01. The new UI allows the user to access widgets, apps and social media all together in a single vertical scrolling page.
