Kingston just introduce its second generation of the DataTraveler Locker+ secure USB Flash drive for consumers. The new DataTraveler Locker+ G2 (DTLPG2) comes with hardware encryption to protect your data and password protection to provide unauthorized access.
The DataTraveler Locker+ G2 also has a security feature that will lock down the drive and erase all it’s contents after 10 invalid login attempts. The drive also works interchangeably between Mac OS X and Windows Systems. The Locker+ G2 drive comes in the storage capacities of 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB, it offers a 10MB/s read and 5MB/s write speed.
The new Kingston DataTraveler Locker+ G2 utilizes the USB 2.0 interface so that could explain why the 4GB option goes for $18, the 8GB option goes for $21, the 16GB option goes for $37 and the 32GB goes for $82. It’s exterior is protected by a durable metal casing with built-in key loop.
