Kingston has unveiled its first Wireless Solid State Drive which they have named the Wi-Drive. It is a pocket-sized portable SSD storage device that was designed specially for Apple devices including the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The Wi-Drive will be available in two different storage options, it utilizes NAND Flash memory chips and there will be a 16GB model and a 32GB model. Both models comes with the option to be accessed wirelessly from any of the above mentioned devices plus the option to stream content to up to four device simultaneously. Both models also comes with a built-in rechargeable battery that delivers up to 4 hours of continuous operation from a single charge, both models will be sold at $130 and $175, respectively. The new Wi-Drive is a innovation in data storage and it will set a new path for wireless storage mediums in the near future.
