A new tablet has been unveiled and everyone seems to agree that it will be a rival of the newly released Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet, it was leaked last week by Future Shop a company out of Canada and it is called the Kobo Vox. The Kobo Vox e-Book Reader comes with a 7-inch AFFS+ display that delivers a resolution of 1024×600, it comes with 8GB of storage internally and ofcourse there is a microSD card slot which supports card up to 32GB plus it also promises a 7-hour battery life from a single charge.
Digging deeper under the hood, there is an 800MHz processor with 512MB of RAM and it runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. e-Readers have surely came a long way since the first model of the Amazon Kindle was announced, now they are similar to tablets when they were just emerging onto the market. There are other features available on the Kobo Vox, WiFi connectivity so you can browse or download over 2.2 million books to read while on the go, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack for listening to your favorite tracks or play your favorite game. Kobo is already taking orders for the Vox E-Reader at $200 per pop and they will start shipping on October 28, 2011.
