Lenovo’s ThinkPad Series of Notebooks just got expanded with the company’s new addition; the ThinkPad X1 Hybrid Notebook. It comes equipped with Lenovo’s Rapid Charge Technology that will charge its battery by up to 80 percent in only 30 minutes.
There’s also Lenovo’s new Instant Media Mode (IMM) running on a Qualcomm dual-core processor. The IMM features also features a custom Android-based operating system along with 16GB of RAM. Switching to the X1 Hybrid’s Instant Media Mode, the notebook mimics the workings of a smartphone and doubles its battery life by up to 10 hours.
The ThinkPad X1 Hybrid also comes with Intel’s Wireless Display technology, an HDMI port and Dolby Home Theater v4 sound. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 is expected to be launched in Q2 2012 and goes for a retail price of $1599.
