Verizon Wireless plans to launch a new 4G smartphone on the US market at the end of this month. The 4G Smartphone in question is the new LG Lucid that supports Verizon’s 4G LTE mobile network and will be offered to customers at an affordable price. The LG Lucid comes equipped with a 4-inch touchscreen display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, it’s powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM.
The new Lucid 4G also features a 5-megapixel camera on the rear with autofocus, flash and Full HD 1080p video recording plus a front-facing camera for video calling. The new LG 4G Smartphone comes with Bluetooth, GPS, DLNA and WiFi connectivity plus it also has a built-in hotspot feature that enables the user to share their 4G internet connection with up to 10 WiFi-enabled devices.
It comes pre-loaded with a Video Producer app that allows the editing of HD videos right on the smartphone as well as Polaris Office app, Quick Reply, Quick Dialer widget and Swype Keyboard. The Lucid 4G will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS out the box plus it is upgradeable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Verizon Wireless plans to start selling the Lucid on March 29 for the price of $79.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new 2-year contract.
