LG has announced its Optimus 2X, its first Smartphone to utilize the power of the Tegra 2 System On Chip and it is also the world’s first Smartphone to be powered by a Dual-Core Cortex-A9 CPU running at 1GHz. With the use of Tegra 2 System On Chip it takes care of the graphics and video functions, it powers the handset many features. Other features of the Optimus 2X are a 4-inch Touchscreen display with a 800×480 pixel resolution, it is equipped with a 8-Megapixel Camera at the rear and a front 1.3-Megapixel Camera.
The Optimus 2X also comes with 8GB internal storage, it supports microSD card up to 32GB, supports 1080p HD video playback and recording, there is also the option to connect the device to your HDTV to view your captured videos and images plus it runs the Android 2.2 Froyo OS.
The LG Optimus 2X Android Smartphone is expected to be available Korea in January with Europe and Asia next in line. There are no information on how much the world’s first Dual-core processor phone will cost so we will just have to wait for its release
