LG was also at the MWC 2011 and they introduced the LG Optimus 3D P920 Android Smartphone which is the world’s first smartphone with a full glasses-free 3D display. The Optimus 3D P920 comes with a 4.3-inch touchscreen 3D display, it is powered by a dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP4 4430 processor, it has 4GB of DDR2 dual-channel RAM for applications and OS, 8GB of internal storage and runs the Android 2.2 Froyo. It also comes with dual-cameras: a 5-Megapixel camera that can record 3D 720p HD videos plus the other can also record standard 2D movies in a 1080p HD resolution.
LG and YouTube also created a 3D channel which enables users of the Optimus 3D P920 to upload and stream record 3D content, plus it doesn’t require a pair of 3D glasses to enjoy its 3D experience. The Phone is expected to be released during the second quarter of 2011 and it is expected to receive a Android 2.3 Gingerbread upgrade later.
