LG has announced that they are now delivering the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to Optimus G users in South Korea. Even though it was the first Android smartphone to be released with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, the came with a small flaw, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich versus Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which would have made the experience even better.
Well the mobile makers just announced that they are now rolling out the Jelly Bean updates to its users in South Korea. They initially promised that the update would roll out before the end of 2012, but now we are two weeks into the new year, so the delay wasn’t that bad.
LG still hasn’t revealed when we can expect the Jelly Bean update for the Optimus G’s stateside, but since most of the LG Optimus G handsets in the US are locked to carriers we will probably have to wait for each carrier to approve the new Android update.
