Sprint just announced that the new LG Viper 4G LTE Smartphone that comes with eco-friendly features will be available to its subscribers later this month for the price of $99.99 with a new two-year service agreement and $50 mail-in rebate.
As the first 4G LTE device with eco-friendly features to be offered by Sprint, the LG Viper LTE Smartphone is ULE Platinum Certified, the highest level of environmental performance recognized by sustainable requirements, it is protected by a case made of 50% recycled plastic plus its packaging contains up to 87% of post-consumer paper, uses soy ink, made with a glueless construction and is 100 percent recyclable.
The LG Viper comes equipped with a 4-inch touchscreen display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and is viewable in direct sunlight, it is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4GB pre-installed MicroSD card plus the device will support microSDHC cards up to 32GB.
There’s a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with flash, a VGA front-facing camera for video chats, NFC support which allows the Viper 4G LTE access features such as Google Wallet to collect payments on the mobile phone, it supports Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity plus a mobile hotspot function that allows the user to share their 4G internet connection with other WiFi-enabled devices.
Sprint plans to start pre-ordering the LG Viper on Thursday April 29 in all Sprint sales channels including online, Best Buy and RadioShack.
