Famous PC Enclosure makers Lian Li recently unveiled two new brushed aluminum chassis, the PC-V355 and PC-A55. Other than their aluminum construction both PC cases really has nothing in common, the V355 was designed to be a larger HTPC or Mini-Tower PCs and it has a slide-out motherboard tray while the PC-A55 features an ATX Chassis with front-mounted PSU and a unique cooling design.
The Lian Li PC-V355 measures 11.14” x 10.35” x 15.19”, it supports micro-ATX motherboard, it comes with many features to make installations, upgrades and upkeep easier. It’s slide-out motherboard tray lets users setup their system outside of the chassis and slide-in once finished, the HDD cage supports up to three 3.5-inch Hard Drives which are secured using thumb screws with rubber suspensions for reduced vibration plus a 2.5-inch hard drive can also be installed in the bay.
Other specifications includes two 120mm intake fans at the front which channels air directly on the hard drive and VGA card, there’s a washable twist off air filter and a 3-speed fan controller. The front I/O panel has two USB 3.0 slots and HD audio support, it will hold VGA cards up to 310mm cards in length and has four expansions slots for future upgradeability.
The Lian Li PC-A55 on the other hand comes with a standard ATX PSU up to 160mm in length and can be mounted vertically in the front of the chassis, the PC-A55 is shorter and smaller than average ATX chassis with the dimensions 7.40” x 14.76” x 17.91” but it still has enough room for an easy installation. It comes with a unique cooling design to push cool air through the case in high volumes at low RPMs.
The 140mm intake is located in the bottom of the case and it blows air directly over the VGA card and across the motherboard. The 140mm fan is place directly on the top panel over the motherboard so that excess hear is removed quickly and effectively.
Other specifications includes two 3.5-inch hard drive, two 2.5-inch hard drives and one 5.25-inch optical disk drive, there are also seven expansion slots for future upgradeability, and VGA cards up to 310mm in length and CPU coolers up to 150mm fit in the PC-A55.
The Lian Li PC-V355 is available in the colors of black and silver for a suggested retail price of $139 while the PC-A55 comes in the colors of black or silver and goes for the retail price of $119.
