The world of 3D printing has gotten to a whole new level in the past year, just a few days ago Oreo showcased at SXSW that it can also be used to print up delicious colored and flavored cookies. Since 3D printing has gotten more popular, several companies are now offering 3D printers for the home and office.
MakerBot just announced its Replicator Z18 3D Printer which is the latest printer from its production lineup. The Replicator Z18 3D has been placed up for pre-orders for an very expensive price just under $6,500. The printer debuts as the largest that the company has, with a build volume of 12″ L x 12″ W x 18″ H.
It’s unsure as to when the company will begin shipping, as they listed the device as “this spring.” The company is also pre-ordering the accessories that goes along with it, which includes a cart and a filament case. The Filament Case is designed to hold XL and XXL rolls of filament to keep the printer from running out while printing large items. The cart sells for $1250.
