Microsoft announces Office 365 University Edition

Microsoft has announced a new version of Microsoft Office 365, it will be called Office Office 365 University and will be designed for students. The company plans to release this new software in the first quarter of 2013. Office 365 University will be sold for the price of $79.99 for a four year and two computer license, or about $1.67 a month for Office 365 and its cloud tools.

Microsoft’s Office 365 University Edition will comes with programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Access, Publisher plus 20 extra gigabytes of storage on Skydrive, for a total of 27 gigabytes, every skydrive user already gets 7 gigabytes for free.

The software also comes with 60 Skype ‘world minutes’ per month, which is ideal for students stufying aboard, enabling them to call home, it also comes with Office on Demand, allowing users to ‘stream’ Office onto a PC with an Internet connection. Go home for winter break, in other words, and you will still have Office. No exact release date has been announced for Office 365 University but it will be during the first quarter of 2013.
