It was revealed recently that Microsoft has quietly ended the $99 Xbox 360 subscription console bundle which was available when you purchased a two year subscription to Xbox Live.
The $99 bundle was initially announced in October 2012, it gave gamers a 24 months $14.99 a month subscription to Xbox Live.
David Dennis, Microsoft’s spokesperson explained that the bundle was intended to be a pilot experiment from the start and Microsoft routinely adjusts the mix of offers available to its customers and this change was simply standard business practice.
According to rumors, Microsoft has similar plans for its next-generation gaming console, the Xbox One. This bundle wasn’t made available at the launch of the console, but who knows they might plan to introduce the bundle at a later date.
