AT&T has announced its upcoming dual-core powered Android Smartphone, the Motorola ATRIX 2 which is the successor of the Motorola Atrix. The new phone gets powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and it gets 1GB of RAM which should enhance its performance and user experience. The ATRIX 2 gets a large 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen display with a 960×540 pixel resolution, it is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera that has autofocus, LED flash and 1080p Full HD video, it also has a front-facing camera for video calling plus a eCompass and GPS support.
According to Motorola, the ATRIX 2 boasts a great deal of entertainment value, it comes with features such as enterprise-grade VPN, enhanced Exchange options and personal information management, remote wipe make this device business-ready and encryption for the microSD card. Other specifications of the Motorola ATRIX 2 includes support for Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi connectivity and a mobile hotspot function for sharing its 3G connection with up to 5 WiFi-enabled devices at once.
Motorola’s Atrix 2, like its predecessor also works with Motorola LAPDOCK 100 as well as the the unique webtop application. It supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and UMTS 850/1900/2100 HSPA networks, it has a 1785mAh battery that delivers up to 8.5 hours of talk time and up to 15.9 days of standby time.
