Verizon Wireless and Motorola has announced the Motorola DROID 4 which is the latest from the DROID family. The DROID 4 comes with a slide-out landscape QWERTY keyboard and has a 4-inch qHD touchscreen display with a 540×960 pixel resolution.

Motorola is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage capacity and a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB. On the rear of the device is an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording and it is also compatible with a variety of Motorola’s Webtop accessories.

The DROID 4 also offers support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network, pre-loaded with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread and according to Verizon it can be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will be available in the coming weeks. No pricing information or specific availability details unveiled for the DROID 4 Smartphone.
