Motorola just announced its new MOTOACTV, a lightweight, wearable fitness performance tracker that will double as a smart music player. The MOTOACTV was designed to offer the tracking of fitness and performance statistics such as pace, distance, calories burned, and map of route covered with automatic syncing of data to MOTOACTV.com.
The MOTOACTV features a 1.6-inch full color touchscreen display that is protected by sweat-proof, rain-resistant and scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. The display also has the ability to auto-adjust for indoor or outdoor lighting, it has a built-in FM radio, it supports Bluetooth 4.0 and ANT+ wireless connectivity for your existing fitness sensors. The Motorola MOTOACTV is available in 8GB and 16GB capacities. It measures 46mm x 46mm x 9.6 mm and weighs 35g.
There is also the option to connect and sync the device with Android Smartphones to receive incoming calls and messages. It has a battery life of up to five hours for outdoor workouts and 10 hours indoors plus up to two weeks of standby. The Motorola MOTOACTV is presently available on Amazon, the 8GB model goes for $249 while the 16GB model goes for $299 but the wrist band is sold separately for $29.99.
