Motorola has announced that its Moto G mid-range device smartphone will be available in the US just in time for the holiday. The smartphone comes in both 8GB and 16GB versions and will cost $179 and $199, respectively to own.
The Moto G comes equipped with a 4.5-inch 720p display, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM, it has dual-SIM capability enabling the user to utilize separate numbers on the same device, it has an 5-Megapixel rear camera capable of recording 720p HD videos.
It also comes with HSPA+ data optimized either for most US carriers (including AT&T and T-Mobile). The devices has a customizable back plate plus there’s are flip cover cases available in various colors. It will be shipped with Android 4.3 operating system, however an Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade is anticipated in January 2014.
Motorola has already began taking pre-orders in the United States and will ship those orders on December 2nd. Customers who use CDMA networks such as Sprint will have to wait until January 2014 to get a Moto G of their own.
