Motorola has announced a new Android Smartphone which is aimed at their Chinese customers, the Motorola RAZR V XT889. The smartphone features a similar design to the existing Motorola RAZR and follows the design of the Galaxy Nexus, it has on-screen buttons rather than dedicated physical keys under the screen.
The RAZR V XT889 comes equipped with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, there’s an 8-Megapixel camera on the rear and a front-facing camera for video calling. There’s no word on how much processing power the handset pocesses but it runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Motorola’s own customized interface.
One of the main highlights of the RAZR V XT889 is that it gets a Kevlar shell which was given a clever waterproofing coat to make the handset splash and spill resistant. Motorola just started selling the Motorola RAZR V XT899 on the China Market on June 15th but no pricing details has been found.
