Motorola vs Microsoft

Motorola won patent case against Microsoft in Germany

The regional court in Mannhein ruled that Motorola did not infringe upon Microsoft’s patented technology that enabled applications to work across multiple handsets without requiring developers to write separate code recently.

This could be considered as a huge victory for the now Google-owned company, as they also recently lost three previous cases against Microsoft in Germany.
Motorola vs MicrosoftGermany has become a major battleground in the global patent war between makers of mobile phones, tablet computer devices and their operating software because court actions there have proved relatively cheap and quicker than in other countries.

“This decision does not impact multiple injunctions Microsoft has already been awarded and has enforced against Motorola products in Germany,” said David Howard, associate general counsel at Microsoft.
