Motorola has announced its new budget-friendly Android 2.3 Gingerbread Smartphone called the Motorola XT531. The new budget-friendly smartphone comes with a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a 480×320 pixel resolution and powered by an 800MHz Processor. The XT531 measures 114 x 62 x 11.95 mm and weighs in at 114 grams, it comes with 512MB of memory and dual-cameras which includes a 5-megapixel camera on the rear of the device with autofocus and flash plus there is a front-facing camera which enables video calling.
Other specifications of the Motorola XT531 includes WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity, it also comes with a few sensors which includes a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer and an e-compass. There is an integrated FM radio with RDS support, it supports dual-band HSDPA and quad-band EDGE networks and comes with a battery life that delivers up to 8 hours of talk time and 28 days in standby in 3G mode.
Basically, the Motorola XT531 will be known as the Motorola FIRE XT when it hits the European Market and gets a name-change to Motorola SPICE XT in Latin America. It also comes with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS pre-installed with Moto Switch user interface.
