MSI has announced its new GX480 Laptop which packs the power of Intel’s Sandy Bridge series of processor, it is based on Huron River-based platform. The new GX480 Sandy Bridge Notebook PC comes equipped with 14-inch LCD LED-backlit display with a 1366×768 pixel resolution and has the choice of an 2.1 GHz Core i3-2310M or 2.3 GHz Core i5-2410M processor. Some of the notable specifications of the GX480 includes up to 640GB of hard drive storage which was placed to protect itself against shock, a GeForce GT 520 1GB graphics card and weighs just 2.2kg.
Other specifications includes a DVD writer, a multi-in-1 card reader, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, optional Bluetooth 3.0, optional USB 3.0 connectivity, two integrated 2W speakers, an HDMI output port and a 6-cell battery. The new GX480 also comes pre-loaded with MSI’s ECO Engine which ensure a longer battery life, GPU Boost technology for GPU overclocking. It also comes with an ambient light system that adjust the screen brightness depending on the lighting of the room.
