Mustek has revealed its new Portable Full Page Scanner, dubbed the Mustek ScanExpress S324 which is claimed to be the only full page portable that comes with a 2.4-inch LCD color display used to preview images before scanning. It scans photos and documents up to 8 1/2 x 11-inch and as small as 3 x 5-inch and scans at up to 300 dpi resolution.
The ScanExpress S324 saves all scanned documents as a JPEG image file and stores them on a SD or MMC memory card which are both supported by the device in sizes up to 4GB. The device also comes with a software that converts scanned documents to Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word or PDF documents. The S324 comes with a mini USB port for PC connections to the device and it is presently available for $169.95 exclusively from Hammacher Schlemmer.
