NEC announced its MultiSync EA273WM display that comes with LED-backlit and got the iF Product Design Award for 2012. The MultiSync EA273WM is a 27-inch widescreen monitor that is aimed at enterprise users and was designed by Naoto Fukasawa, who is an internationally-known, award-winning industrial designer.
Other than it’s award-winning design, the EA273WM features a Full HD 1920×1080 native resolution, it has a 300cd/m2 brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 5ms response time and a WLED-backlit that significantly reduces the devices’ power consumption. Specifications-wise, the display comes with integrated speakers, a 4-port USB hub, common inputs such as D-sub, DVI-D, HDMI as well as DisplayPort and even though it is based on TN Panel, the monitor still offer 178/178-degree wide viewing angle.
The monitor features a base that enables it to be adjustable, there’s a fully adjustable quick-release stand with 130mm height, it can be tilted, swivel or pivot. It also has a touch-sensitive on-screen display control as well as a ControlSync feature that allows users to control up to six EA273WM units in a multi-monitor configuration. The NEC MultiSync EA273WM cost $499 and should be available on various markets soon.
