Neofonie, a German Company releases its WePad Slate Tablet. The WePad is powered by a Atom platform alongside the Linux-based WePad OS which supports Java, Flash and Adobe AIR.

The WePad gets an Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, 16GB or 32GB Internal Storage, and a SD/SDHC expansion slot. There are other specs which includes a 1.3 Megapixel webcam, a card reader and a 11.6-inch multitouch display with 1366×768 resolution. The WePad comes in two different models, the 16GB WePad priced at Euro 499 and the Euro 569 WePad 3G with 32GB, GPS and 3G connectivity.

Both model supports Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, the device is manufacturer using a magnesium-aluminum unlike the Apple iPad which is made from aluminum. Pre-Ordering of the WePad w2ill start April 27th, 2010, there are no details to say if it will be available in the United States.
