In addition to the CoolPix P510, Nikon also announced the arrival of the CoolPix P310 Compact Digital camera which is the successor to the CoolPix P300 that was released same time last year. The CoolPix P310 comes equipped with a Nikon EXPEED C2 image processor to deliver quality images and it supports high-speed continuous shooting at up to 5 shots in as little as one second, it has a 16.1-Megapixel Backside Illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor, a 4.2x wide angle optical zoom NIKKOR glass lens and is expected to deliver an excellent low light performance.
The camera also comes with other advanced specifications which includes an ISO range up to 3200 for a further enhanced performance in low light conditions, it features optical VR image stabilization and several scene modes including Advanced Night Portrait mode, Night Landscape mode, Backlight/High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode, and a few exposure modes as well.
It also supports Full HD video recording at 30fps with AF and stereo sound, like the P510 it also comes with built-in camera editing, a 3-inch LCD display and an HDMI output for viewing captured content on a larger screen. The CoolPix P310 will be released in February and will go for the price of $329.95.
