Nikon expanded its CoolPix series with the new CoolPix P510 that brings an ultra zoom. The P510 is an upgrade to the CoolPix P500 that was released last year that featured a 36x optical zoom lens. The P510 on the other hand gets further the zoom range, thanks to its 42x optical Zoom-NIKKOR ED glass lens with 24mm wide angle.
It sports a 16.1-Megapixel Backside Illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor and optical Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization that delivers an excellent image quality even while shoot in low light conditions. The P510 also comes equipped with Nikon’s EXPEED C2 digital image processing engine to ensure quality images and videos.
The Nikon P510 has a large 3-inch display on the rear to help keep objects in frame, it has the ability to record Full HD 1080 movies, there’s an ISO sensitivity of up to 3200, in-camera editing option, Scene Modes, manual mode and an easy Panorama mode that automatically combines multiple shots into a seamless 180 degrees or 360 degrees image. The P510 will be released later this month and will be priced at $429.95 in the color options of Black and Red.
