At the recently held CES in Las Vegas Nevada, Nintendo announced its new Glasses-Free 3D handheld console that they are calling the Nintendo 3DS. The new 3D Gaming Console measures 2.9 inches high, 5.3 inches long, 0.8 inches deep(closed), weighs approximately 8 ounces, like the older model the 3DS also features dual screens, a touchscreen display at the bottom with a 320×240 resolution and supports telescoping stylus that comes stored in the device and a 800×240 3D Display at the top that does not require 3D glasses for the three dimension experience.

There is also a slider that lets the user select the level of 3D the user prefers or turn it off if you want 2D images on your device. It also comes with two new features such as the StreetPass function that allows the user to exchange game information with other Nintendo 3DS systems and the SpotPass feature that can connect to compatible public hotspots and through a wireless broadband Internet connection on a home network.

great thing about the new 3D Gaming Console that users will love is the fact that it comes pre-loaded with a variety of games and applications including Nintendo 3DS Camera, Nintendo 3DS Sound, Mii Maker, Mii Plaza, AR Games, Activity Log, Face Raiders plus there is also a built-in parental function that enable parents to limit internet access to kids and it comes with a 2GB SD card in the box. If you have old game cards from your Nintendo DS you can also play them in this new device.

The device will be coming in March to the US Market, on the 27th to be precised in the colors of Cosmo Black or Aqua Blue at a price of $249.99.
