Nintendo has decided to drop the price of the new Nintendo 3DS Handheld Console, the handheld gaming device gets a price cut from its original retail price of $249.99 to $169.99 after being on the US market for only four months. The new pricing won’t take effect until August 12, if you already got the device for the original price Nintendo will also be rewarding you with 20 free downloadable games from the Nintendo eShop.
The best part of this news is that it isn’t the US consumers will be getting the 3D handheld device on this new price, Japan and other countries will also be getting the device for the new low price. The 20 free games that owners will be getting includes 10 NES Virtual Console Games: Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong Jr, Balloon Fight, Ice Climber and The Legend of Zelda, and 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games: Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc: Mega Microgame$ and Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
The games will be available for download by the end of 2011.
