Nintendo has stopped selling Wii consoles in Japan

Nintendo Wii discontinued in japanIt’s now evident that Nintendo will be slowly killing its Wii Gaming Console, and they are starting with the Japan market first.

A few weeks ago it was unveiled that Nintendo would stop manufacturing the Wii for Japan, and the company went ahead and quietly listed the console as “discontinued” on its Japanese website.

If you live in Japan then you might want to keep an extra unit stored, if you are a Wii gamer that is. The company now has its Nintendo Wii U, so they are hoping that this console will replace the Wii amongst gamers.
