Nokia and JBL formed a temporary alliance to create a new range of audio accessories, and have unveiled their first creation in the range today, in the form of the JBL PlayUp Portable Wireless Speaker for Nokia.
The JBL PlayUp speakers uses NFC technology to connect devices, and were designed to provide 360 degree sound. Nokia’s next Generation Lumia Smartphones that will feature NFC connectivity and runs Windows 8 will be the perfect match for the speakers.
The speakers supports Bluetooth connectivity plus they are also equipped with a 3.5mm cable, which is provided for connecting other devices. The speakers measures 118 x 118 x 128mm in size and weighs 750g, an AC adapter is added to provide long sessions that the internal battery cannot handle on it’s own. With a full charge it will play for around 10 hours.
The JBL PlayUp speakers are capable of pumping out 89dB of power and have a frequency response is rated at 85Hz – 22kHz (-6dB), and will be arriving in stores before the end of the year and for around €149.
