OCZ Technology has announced its new Talos Series Serial Attached SCSI SSDs that was designed for enterprise applications. The new Talos Series is based on the MLC NAND Flash Technology and comes in two different models, the Talos C and Talos R. They both comes in the storage options of 230GB, 480GB, 960GB and 200GB, 400GB and 800GB, respectively.
They all utilizes a Dual-Port Serial Attached SCSI 6Gbps interface and offer up to up to 30,000 random write IOPS, 530MB/s read and 340MB/s write speeds. They also offer ultra-fast, high-capacity solution with Virtualized Controller Architecture (VCA) technology that will provide the customers with a robust enterprise features including TRIM (SCSI unmap with SAS drives), SMART monitoring, native command queuing (NCQ), tagged command queuing (TCQ) and power fail management. The Talos C and Talos R both includes data encryption as well as ECC recovery.
