OnePlus TV codenamed “Dosa”: More Details Surfaced

Phone maker OnePlus is joining the TV game as details of the OnePlus TV leaked recently on Twitter. More details of the upcoming TV has surfaced confirming the 55-inch QLED TV with a 1920 x 1080 native resolution.

Additional details of the OnePlusTV surfaced after a screenshot of a Google Play Developer Console listing was spotted.

New details revealed that the OnePlusTV codenamed “Dosa” will be powered by a MediaTek MT5670 SoC and a Mali-G51 GPU.

Dosa“, a crepe-like dish made from Rice and Black Lentils. The dish originates from South India.

Android 9 Pie OS at the head of operations, the OnePlus TV will also get 3GB of RAM.



OnePlus first announced that they were working on a new TV in September 2018 and now we have little details trickling out.

OnePlus TV is expected to launch in India before any other market, CEO Pete Lau told Gadget360 earlier this week. In the interview, Lau confirmed that the OnePlus TV will use a QLED panel and consumers can expect a premium experience.

In terms of pricing, we want to benchmark against the most premium products available in the market, which means we are benchmarking against Samsung and Sony,” Lau said.

So far, it has been confirmed that the OnePlus TV will offer a premium experience at a cheaper price to the likes of Sony and Samsung.

OnePlus TV will be launched in India firstly, and later to other markets. No pricing details have been confirmed by the company just yet.
