Users of the OnStar Remotelink mobile application can now expect an update user experience as well as new features with the new upgrade to version 2.0. The Remotelink 2.0 version comes with a more modern user interface which streamlines access to the app’s commands and features, the new version also gives access to users account information, an option that wasn’t available in previous versions.
According to the company’s press release, the app has 1.3 million active users who regularly depends on the app for on-demand diagnostics, tire pressure reading, remote start, door unlock and other remote connections to their vehicles. Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles equipped with OnStar 4G LTE, remotelink 2.0 allows the user to view data consumption, manage their WiFi hotspot SSID and Password.
The OnStar Remotelink app is currently available for iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry devices. The update is only for iOS and Android, however an update for BlackBerry and Windows Phone devices will be available in the coming weeks.
