Oppo has announced its new Android-powered Phablet, the Oppo U3. There were rumors in circulation of the device’s imminent launch and the company has finally made it official. The Oppo U3 Phablet comes equipped with a 5.9-inch Full HD 1920×1080 display screen, its powered by a 64-bit processor and a rear-facing capable of taking 50-megapixel images.
The processor in the Oppo U3 is a 64-bit eight-core MediaTek MT6752 processor that clocks at 1.7GHz, it features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage plus it gets a microSD card slot for expansion on the device’s storage capacity.
It also comes with a 13MP camera on the rear which is capable of capturing 50MP images using unsampling and a 5MP front-facing selfies camera with a wide angle lens, so you won’t miss anyone in the frame when snapping group selfies.
Other newsworthy specifications of the Oppo U3 includes a 3000mAh battery and it runs Oppo’s Color OS 2.0.1 which is a highly customized version of Google’s Android KitKat 4.4.4 operating system. No pricing details has been announced just yet for the new phablet.
