Palm officially announced its second webOS-based smartphone also known previously as the Palm EOS Smartphone. It is presently Palm’s thinnest smartphone and it has a 2.63-inch multi-touch LCD display with 320×400 resolution. There is a full QWERTY Keypad, a 2 Megapixel camera with LED flash, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, integrated GPS Receiver and it will be available on the Sprint Network soon.

There are other specs which includes a microUSB connector, a 3.5mm stereo jack, Palm Synergy integration with Facebook, Google, Microsoft Office Outlook, Yahoo! Mail, Google Talk, AIM Instant Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger.

It is powered by Qualcomm MSM7627 chipset and runs the Web OS like the Palm Pre.

Availability and Pricing

The Palm Pixi phone is scheduled to be available from Sprint in time for the holidays. Pricing for the phone, as well as the limited-edition Palm Pixi Artist Series covers, will be announced closer to availability.
