Panasonic has announced in the UK, its new and interesting DECT cordless home phone which is powered by Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Panasonic’s KX-PRX120 is basically a DECT smartphone for your home, it works just like an ordinary cordless home phone and at the same time offers more. It gives the user access to Google Play store to download applications as well as access to social media networks.
Panasonic KX-PRX120 features the same specifications of an entry-level smartphone, there’s a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, there’s a built-in front-facing 0.3-megapixel camera which can even be used to video communications with Skype, it has Bluetooth connectivity, WiFi and GPS.
There’s a microSD/SDHC card slot for storage expansion plus it has an answering machine built-in, plus the system has the ability to attach up to six handsets. There’s no word on how much it will cost to own or when it will go on sale but we will keep you guys updated.
