[CES 2012] Panasonic unveiled its Lumix DMC-SZ7 and Lumix DMC-SZ1 digital cameras at the CES in Las Vegas. Both camera takes the form of a typical point and shoot but also has the ability to deliver HD video recording, they have compact bodies which makes them portable and easy to use as well.
Both the Lumix DMC-SZ7 and Lumix DMC-SZ1 comes equipped with a 25mm ultra-wide angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens but the DMC-SZ7 gets a 14.1-megapixel sensor and an extremely speedy focus response time of around 0.1 second allowing the device to snap quality images without blur. The Lumix SZ1 on the other hand comes with a 16.1-megapixel shooter but its AF doesn’t match that of the former.
Specifications that the LUMIX SZ-Series shares includes a 3.0-inch Intelligent LCD that will automatically adjusts the back-light based on the environment’s lighting, they are capable of capturing Panorama Shots and a dedicated video recording button which lets the user instantly starts recording without making any changes to the camera’s settings.
The Lumix DMC-SZ7 will be available in black while the Lumix DMC-SZ1 will be available in the colors of black, silver, red and blue. Panasonic promises to release availability and pricing information approximately 30 days prior to shipping.
