Panasonic has also announced its new rugged digital camera, the LUMIX TS3. It is a 12.1-Megapixel rugged digital camera that is dustproof, freezeproof to 14ºF, shockproof as well as waterproof up to 40 feet submerged. It comes with a Venus Engine FHD processor, a 12.1-megapixel CCD sensor, 28mm wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens and a 4.6x optical zoom. In addition to capturing 12.1-Megapixel still images, the LUMIX TS3 also has the ability to record Full HD (1920 x 1080) videos and also can capture 3D images as well. It comes with built-in GPS functions, a compass, a barometer and a SD memory card slot for storage. The Panasonic Lumix TS3 is expected to be released in March of this year, no pricing information has been found on this new device.
