Pandigital has announced its upcoming android tablet, the SuperNova that comes with an 8-inch TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a 800×600 pixel resolution and runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The new SuperNova Android Tablet gets powered by a 1.06GHz Samsung S5PV210 processor, it gets 512MB of memory and comes with 4GB of storage space with a microSD card slot for expansion on the memory.
Other specifications featured on the SuperNova Tablet includes both front and rear-facing cameras, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1, mini USB port, micro HDMI ports and a frame that measures just 0.44″ thick. The SuperNova also has a Li-ion battery that promises up to 6 hours of operation from a single charge. It is expected to hit shelves in mid-October for the price of $229 per unit.
